Remember oh my soul, that Father God sees your distress, and hears your cry… especially when you are held captive because of your own sin.
Remember that He hears you before you’ve straightened up, or learned your lesson, or started to behave better.
God always remembers His covenant with Christ. And keeps it. Whether you do or not.
So when you cry, oh my soul, remember that it is always heard by your loving Father… at the moment the cry left your suffering soul. And it’s answered with His memory.
The memory of Christ in your place, taking on Himself all of your sin and shame.
So cry to Him. Loudly.
And know that your cry is answered with relief, pity, and hesed love.
Nevertheless, he looked upon their distress, when he heard their cry. For their sake he remembered his covenant, and relented according to the abundance of his steadfast love. He caused them to be pitied by all those who held them captive. ~Psalm 106:44-46
