God of my life, the road seems dreary and endless, the skies grey and threatening; my life has no music in it, and my heart is lonely. My soul has lost its courage.
Flood my path with light, open my eyes to see your promises; tune my heart to sing brave music; let my heart sing with the choir of the saints of all the ages.
Fill my heart to forgive deeply and fellowship fully. To entrust my safekeeping to You, so that others may too.
Give life to my spirit, that I may be able to encourage the souls of all who journey with me on the road of life, to Your honor and glory.
Thank you Father of Lights, for these words from Your saint and servant so long ago. May they be my words and heart today.
