At wits’ end

I’ve gone down to the sea to do business on great waters… waters too big for me (Psalm 107:23).

I’m in over my head.

They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

I’m crying to the LORD day and night in my staggering.

I know He hears the cry for help when it is from a desperate place, and only to Him.

He will lead me to still waters in my soul.
